CHATEAU

Lešany Chateau is located in the middle of nature, in Posázaví, about 20 km from Prague in the Benešov district. In the castle grounds there is a guesthouse, a chapel, a restaurant (pizzeria), a park with a pond, a terrace and a covered terrace with a garden grill, a castle garden with a wedding gazebo.

The Baroque chateau was built around 1709 on the site of the original fortress from 1571. Inside the castle there are preserved frescoes in the great hall, but the castle is not open to the public.

The Renaissance two-storey, four-winged building is on a square plan with a closed courtyard and a square tower in the western facade. The rectangular semi-circular chapel of St Mary Magdalene from the late 19th century is adjacent to the north wing. The chateau is adjoined on the south side by a park and farm buildings. The current appearance of the mansion is due to the last innovations at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The chateau is not open to the public.
